Advent Recollection 2107
As we begin to fill our homes with the sights, scents, and sounds of the Christmas season, we also encourage all families to make Christ the center of the celebration. For five consecutive months, Child Jesus of Prague School has tirelessly worked hard to strengthen the skills of parents through meaningful and timely parenting seminars. So far, topics ranging from “Raising the Digital Generation” “Financial Stewardship, “Practical Parenting”, “How to Influence your Child Through Scriptures” and “The True Meaning of Discipline”, have been tackled by the country’s leading inspirational speakers.
For our December Parenting Seminar, we feel that it is but timely that we focus our attention in bringing spirituality in both our lives and our families. With the beginning of Advent, we will likewise welcome a new liturgical year hence this upcoming 6th Parenting Seminar/ Advent Recollection is an occasion not to be missed.
Our resource speaker, Fr. Arlo Bernardo Yap, is an SVD Coordinator for Biblical Apostolate. He was ordained in 1983 and holds a Master’s Degree in Development Communications at the University of the Philippines, Los Banos. He founded and initiated the Bible Study in a simpler way, which touched the hearts of a lot of Catholic Families. Below are the details of the event:
TOPIC: ADVENT RECOLLECTION FOR PARENTS (6th PARENTING SEMINAR)
DATE: December 1, 2017
TIME: 5:30pm – 7:30pm
VENUE: CJPS New Building, Calumpang Campus
Kindly bring with you a pen and a notebook.
The seminar is FREE of charge to all CJPS Parents, but slots are limited and seats in the venue will be on a first come, first served basis.
Aside from this, you and your child will be given the following incentives for your attendance:
- A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to all parents who will be able to attend at least five (5) seminar sessions for the entire academic year. This will be given before the end of the school year.
- Best Class Award – Each time you attend a parenting seminar, the section to which your child belongs, earns significant points to be declared as the Best Class at the end of each month.
For the past few months that we have been conducting regular parenting seminars, positive feedback and appreciation were given by attendees. Rest assured that we will continue to use this as an added inspiration in bringing more meaningful activities for both students and parents.
