Grade School
In line with the Grade School Department’s celebration of the English Month, we again, would like to emphasize the importance of being proficient and confident in speaking, reading and writing in English through the various activities that your child will be exposed to. With its theme: “Sharpening Language Skills of the 21st Century Learners for Communicative Competence”, pupils will experience and enjoy the classroom-based activities prepared by their teachers like Book Spine Poetry, English Fair, Spelling Bee and English Only Policy. The English Month Celebration will then be concluded by the annual Scholastic Book Fair, where much anticipation and excitement have been observed among our pupils. Such is a positive indication of their enthusiasm and how much they value reading books, widening their vocabulary and developing their reading comprehension. Let us encourage them more at home by allocating two hours for reading a book every weekend and speaking to them in English even during casual conversations.
