Preschool
This November is another exciting month for our Nursery students as they learn about Day and Night. They will understand what makes day and night and recognize the pattern of a day and a night cycle. To help them assimilate these concepts, the children will complete various activities to further develop their interest about the topic.
We are also launching the “Grand Recycling Fiesta” this month to instill in our students the importance of a clean and green environment. Through this program, the children will experience activities that will help them gain knowledge about recycling and caring for nature. Since children learn best through hands-on experiences, we would like you to help them classify items in the house that may be recycled. These recyclable items will be collected every Friday beginning November 10 and will last until December 7, 2017. Items will have a corresponding value in the form of a Christmas ball, which will be used to decorate their Class Christmas tree. The collected items will then be sold and the proceeds will be used to support our Christmas Outreach Program in December.
Since the season of giving is once again upon us, the Preschool Department will focus on the theme of sharing for the merry month of December. This will be highlighted with our annual Christmas Outreach on December 16, 2017 (Saturday). Dubbed as “Give Love on Christmas Day”, we have invited 100 indigent children from the municipality of Binangonan to spend a day of fun and fellowship with us as we endeavor to make Christmas more meaningful for our preschool children. The proceeds from our “Grand Recycling Fiesta” will be used to support this activity.
Grade School
As we begin the second semester, we continue to provide our students with interesting and engaging activities to develop them into well-rounded individuals. More specifically, we will have the combined Mathematics and Science Activities in the months of November and December. With the theme: “MATH-SCI: Promoting Excellence by Strengthening Creative and Innovative Minds: which aims to provide our students with challenging activities that will enhance their critical thinking skills both in Math and Science through the games they will play in various stations.
On November 11, aside from our 5th Parenting Seminar, parents will get the opportunity to see their child’s progress in school through the 2nd Quarter Report Card Day.
There will also be a seminar for all Grade 2 Catholic students and their parents in preparation for the First Holy Communion of the students. An invited guest speaker will facilitate the discussion on the topics of: “Family, as the funnel of God’s Love, Role of Parents in Guiding their Child as He/She Receives His/Her First Communion and Spirituality, Values and Practices of the Family”.
Likewise taking place this month is the annual Scouting Investiture. Our “LAGING HANDA” scouts will formally be conferred as they commit themselves to always follow the scout law.
Lastly, as we are near to the celebration of the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ, the school will once again launch its annual December Christmas Drive Campaign. Students from all levels are encouraged to bring specified goods indicated in the calendar below. All of the donations will then be given a week before Christmas to the poor families living in the community. Through this small gesture, we aim to inculcate in the hearts of our students to always go beyond themselves and express their generosity especially toward the less fortunate.
We thank you for being our partners and we hope that you will continue to support and adhere to all of our endeavors.
Middle School
In the previous month, the middle school students and their families had the opportunity to identify, reflect on and give their insights about the most relevant social issues that our families and communities are facing. This had been the focus of our Araling Panlipunan department.
Mathematics and Science will be the areas to be highlighted from November to December. The aggressive effort of the school to unite families continues through different classroom-based and family activities designed to meet our objectives for this period.
Moreover, below is the breakdown of major activities for the months of November and December.
- 5th CJPS Parenting Seminar – This November, our guest speaker Ms. Tina Zamora, who is also a child development specialist, will tackle “The True Meaning of Discipline”. This will be on November 11, 2017 from 9:30am to 12:00nn.

Christmas break of students will start the following day and classes will resume on January 4, 2018.
High School
Last month, the High School students were exposed to the cultural diversity of nations and the importance of unity and cooperation among them were emphasized. As such, the same message was inculcated through the classroom activities spearheaded by the Araling-Panlipunan department.
For November and December, the Mathematics and Science departments have joined forces to maximize the opportunities for the CJPS students to discover and enhance their analytical and critical thinking abilities, and to showcase their creative problem solving skills through various MathSci projects. Our activities for these months are the following: Bulletin Board Making Contest, Math and Science Quiz Bees. All of these are inspired by the theme: “Childeans: Catalyzing Societal Advancement Through Mathematical and Scientific Researches”.
