February- March Bulletin

PRESCHOOL

Last January, our preschoolers discovered the wonderful world of animals. They studied and learned their characteristics, how they move, how to take care of them, and their needs.

For the month of February, the Junior Nursery children will learn about plants. More specifically, they will discover and appreciate living and nonliving things as God’s gifts to mankind.  The different activities and encounters prepared for this month will surely engage the Junior Nursery student’s interest as he/she understands that living things move, breathe, have the capacity to grow, eat and drink.  Whereas, nonliving things do not.

For the month of March, the Junior Nursery students will be introduced to different types of transportation and how they go. They will learn that transportation is how people and things travel from one place to another. The succeeding lessons in the series about transportation will provide an opportunity for the Junior Nursery children to explore vehicles with wheels that travel on land: tricycle, bicycle, motorcycle, and 4-wheeler, by interacting with activities that foster developmental skills in social, language, math and problem-solving.

GRADE SCHOOL

In the past months, our pupils had the opportunity to experience various activities aimed at developing their moral, spiritual, intellectual and social skills. Theme-based events were specifically created to bring about the holistic development of each individual. 

The last two months of the fourth quarter may signal the end of the school year but still, the Grade School department has prepared events that will give our pupils fun, excitement and learning at the same time. 

First, is the CJPS GS OLYMPICS 2020 which will happen on February 13 and 14, 2020. This two-day event that will highlight the importance of MAPEH (Music, Arts, Health and Physical Education), will give our pupils the opportunity to promote their physical fitness and bring out their exceptional talents in Sports. Through this, we aim to:

• develop the knowledge of every pupil about sports and physical activities and to improve fine and gross motor skills.
• promote social skills and camaraderie among pupils.

Second, is the SCOUTING CAMP NIGHT of our Grade 4 pupils, which is a father and son / mother and daughter camp night that will give them an opportunity to share and experience a night filled with fun and exciting scouting activities. Through this event, we aim for our students to:

• ain recreational pleasure and be able to apply basic skills in Scouting.
• strengthen their bond with their parents.
• develop camaraderie with other pupils through the activities provided.

We want to thank you, parents, for your continued support and for making this a great year for your child. Looking back, it has been another year filled with many learning experiences and lessons that will prepare our pupils for the challenges of the next academic year.  

Lastly, please be informed as well that the Recognition Day for honor students will be on April 7, 2020. And, Final Report Card Distribution is set on April 8, 2020 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Calumpang.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

HIGH SCHOOL

We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude for the unconditional support you have given during our campaign for the Batangeños who suffered from the sudden eruption of Taal volcano.  Your donations are truly a blessing to two barangays and evacuation centers in Batangas. May God continue to bless your generosity and kindness.

As we move into the last quarter of the school year, we are guided with our theme, “When God is Our Root, Love is Our Fruit” in the different activities planned for February and March as follows:

1. The CJPS Intramurals 2020.  This provides an opportunity for every student, faculty and staff member to take part in competitive and non-competitive recreational sports activities within the framework of educational endeavors.
2. The Recollection of Grade 12 and Grade 10 students together with their parents will be on March 7 and 14, 2020, respectively. This spiritual nourishment activity will make our students more equipped and prepared to face the challenges of the next academic level. A separate letter will be sent for the details.
3. The 5^th Moving Up Ceremony of Grade 10 students will be on March 26, 2019.  This will be held at the CJPS Multi-Purpose Building in Calumpang, from 9:00am onwards.  Grade 10 students should wear their daily uniform.
4. The Senior High School (SHS) 3^rd Commencement Exercises will be on March 27, 2020, from 5:00pm onwards, to be held at CJPS Calumpang Campus.
