By 7:15 AM at the Child Jesus of Prague School (CJPS) entrance, parents hovered to fix stray collars, the rustle of new uniforms filling the morning air. Outside, a line of cars, motorcycles, and tricycles stretched along the curb to drop off students.
Just inside, before the rush began, the faculty gathered briefly to pray together. This first day back was less about administrative routines and more about refocusing on their core goals. As the campus gates opened, school leaders and teachers stood at the entrance to welcome the first arrivals.
This year, the school is centering its approach on three practical objectives: “Better. Stronger. Kinder.”
While raising academic standards and modernizing classrooms often feel like rigid policy mandates, the faculty aims to keep the focus on individual learner growth.
This means treating academic challenges as shared responsibilities rather than failures. When a learner falls behind, teachers are expected to work together, bringing parents directly into the conversation to map out a support plan.
The administration also emphasizes that performance means little without a supportive environment. The school relies heavily on a culture of empathy to ensure learners feel secure as they navigate their studies.
Once the morning rush subsided, the noise outside gave way to quiet classrooms. Teachers began their class orientations while rows of learners settled into the new routine.
Education faces plenty of shifting challenges today, from evolving curricula to new technologies. However, the CJPS family enters the school year with a clear direction. With a committed faculty and an active parent community, the school is ready to focus on what matters most: helping its learners grow both inside and outside the classroom.
