High School
The month of November highlights Mathematics as a subject that is fun to learn. With the theme: “Math-e-Realize: Extracting Knowledge, Shaping Ideas, and Bringing Them to Reality”, the High School Department aims to offer a distinct opportunity for the students to recognize the greatest mathematicians of all times and their contributions to our society today. Various enjoyable activities are also designed to help students develop critical-mathematical thinking ability, while reshaping their perception of Mathematics as a challenging subject.
Also, kindly take note of the Distribution of the Second Quarter Report Cards on November 13, 2015 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the HS Campus. Please be advised that we will strictly follow the given schedule. Your child’s adviser will start to accommodate you and release your child’s report card at exactly 2:00pm.
Moreover, this December, being the Science Month, CJPS intends to help our kids realize that the various technological advancements that we are enjoying are God’s blessings that we must utilize for the common good. Activities that our students will enjoy, including this year’s educational trip, are geared towards the theme “The Age of Science: God’s Blessing to the Modern Man”
As we recognize the numerous blessings we are endowed with, we also remember to be a blessing to others. So, as we approach the Christmas Season, the School wishes to once again give emphasis to the values of generosity and sharing among our students. Our traditional Christmas Drive will be an avenue for all of us to reach out to the less fortunate brethren of our community.
Grade School
As we begin the second semester, we continue to provide our students with interesting and engaging activities to develop them into well-rounded individuals. More specifically, we will have the combined Mathematics and Science Activities in the months of November and December. The Math-Sci 2.0 aims to provide students with challenging activities that will enhance their critical thinking skills through the games they will play in various booths.
On November 13, parents will get the opportunity to see their child’s progress in school through the 2nd Quarter Report Card Day. The Educational Tour for the Grades 4-6 levels will also take place on November 26. This event will provide students with the opportunity to discover a lot of new things in the field of Science, Technology, Art and Culture (Please see separate letter for details). Likewise taking place this month is the annual Scouting Investiture. Our “LAGING HANDA” scouts will formally be conferred as they commit themselves to always follow the scout law.
Lastly and as we near the celebration of the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ, the school will once again be launching its annual December Christmas Drive Campaign. Students from all levels are encouraged to bring specified goods indicated in the calendar below. All of the donations will then be given a week before Christmas to the poor families living in the town of Binangonan, Rizal. Through this small gesture, we aim to inculcate in the hearts of our students to always go beyond themselves and express their generosity especially toward the less fortunate.
Preschool
This month of November is another exciting one for our Junior Kinder students as they learn about our mysterious solar system. They will identify the planets Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars and discover their specific characteristics. To help them assimilate these concepts, the children will complete various activities to further develop their interest about the topic.
We are also launching the “Grand Recycling Fiesta” this month to instill in our students the importance of a clean and green environment. Each student is encouraged to bring recyclable items every Friday starting November 6 until December 4, 2015. Each item will have a corresponding value in the form of a Christmas ball, which will be used to decorate their Class Christmas tree. The collected items will then be sold and the proceeds will be used to support our third Christmas Outreach Program in December.
Since the season of giving is once again upon us, the Preschool Department will focus on the theme of sharing for the merry month of December. This will be highlighted with our annual Christmas Outreach on December 11, 2015 (Friday). Dubbed as “Give Love on Christmas Day”, we have invited 100 indigent children from the Sisters of the Poor to spend a day of fun and fellowship with us as we endeavor to make Christmas more meaningful for our preschool children.
