Preschool
The Bible Story Night was one of the most remarkable activities that we had. Our children were able to learn Bible stories and shared them with their classmates. It shows that parents’ involvement in their child’s learning makes a difference. Thank you for your continued support for our activities.
Moving on, we believe that art and music are important assets for our kids to develop. Building positive art activity habits in them can improve their physical and mental health. One way to do this is through incorporating songs in their activities that will keep them thinking, that can help them to create a fun atmosphere for activities. Art and music help kids develop discipline, creativity, confidence, and critical thinking skills.
For this month, we invite our dear parents to join us in various fun-filled activities. Your kids will express their creativity as they discover, collect, sort, arrange, experiment, and think with found and recyclable stuff. They will choose objects and turn them into a display. It is also a great way for you and your young artist to create beautiful memories together. You may play songs, take a video and pictures while doing the activity, and send them to their class adviser’s CJPS account on February 26, 2021.
Furthermore, sharing music and doing arts experiences with the people they love makes very young children feel cherished and important. That is why the Guidance Counselor prepares many exciting activities on their Guidance Day.
And, to be able to continue updating you of your child’s progress, please be informed that our 3rd Parent-Teacher Conference (PTC) will be from February 22 to March 5, 2021, via Google Meet. The schedule and the meeting link will be sent to your child’s CJPS email account.
Finally, we encourage you to attend our Family Bibliarasal every Friday. This is a very important avenue for our families to be nurtured spiritually.
Grade School
The current situation that we have did not hinder us to allow our pupils to experience various activities aimed at developing their moral, spiritual, intellectual, and social skills. Theme-based online events were specifically created to bring about the holistic development of each individual.
For this month, the Grade School department has prepared another online event that will give our pupils and their families fun, excitement, and learning at the same time. This activity is the CJPS FAMonGAMES which will happen on February 26, 2021. This one-day event will highlight the importance of MAPEH (Music, Arts, Health and Physical Education) and Computer. With the theme: “We create school and home links, and bring faith, wisdom, and love in sync”, we want to give them the opportunity to promote their physical fitness and wellness, and bring out their exceptional talents in dancing and singing with their families. Through this, we aim for our students to be able to:
- gain more information about MAPEH, specifically focusing on the Philippine culture;
- present retro dances of the 80’s; and,
- establish camaraderie among family members through different activities.
The following are the important reminders for February:
- Third Parent-Teacher Conference – to start on February 15, 2021. Each one of you will receive a schedule from your child’s class adviser. We expect from you, dear parents, to meet and confer again online with your child’s adviser. Through this, you will get the chance to know how your child performs in school for this quarter.
- Assessment Week for the Third Quarter – which will be on February 18, 22 – 24, 2021. We encourage you to support your children to let them do the tasks given with your guidance. Let us be together in developing your children’s self-confidence and independence in performing the tasks for them to be proud of their output as they do it all by themselves.
- FAMonGAMES – the MAPEH/COMPUTER Culminating Activity which will be on February 26, 2021,8:00 am-12:00 nn for Grades 3-4 and 1:00-4:30 pm for Grades 1-2.
- Family Bibliarasal – a regular family activity, we encourage you, as a family, to take part in this spiritual gathering every Friday at 6:00 pm via Zoom link shared with you in the monthly calendar.
We want to thank you, parents, for your continued support and participation in our pupils’ monthly activities. And, once again, let us be with your children and have the activities this month be filled with love, sportsmanship, enjoyment, fun and learning.
Middle School
The intellectual, moral and social facets of growth of our students have been the focus of our January activities. Values formation is consistently integrated in daily lessons and was further enhanced last month by having film showing, Bible Bookmark activity, Bible Quiz Bee, random acts of kindness and family-related events.
We are officially into February and that means we will be celebrating the MAPEH month. Anchored on the year-round theme, “We create school and home links to bring faith, wisdom and love in sync,” the Middle School will continue our most-awaited event every year which is the CJPS Intramurals amidst the new learning set-up.
No one expected for things to turn out this way, but given the circumstances, we are still here to provide the best e-Intramurals experience even at the comfort of our homes. This year, our students may not be able to play physically, but we will make sure that the same fun, excitement and the spirit of sportsmanship in playing games will still be felt by them.
Below is the breakdown of important events for this month:
- MS E-Intramurals: Intersectional – This 3-day event will happen on February 17-19, 2021.
- Family Bibliarasal – scheduled every Friday of the month excluding 1st Friday. We have set a specific schedule for all sections, so we expect you to join.
- PeTa and OE Week – The last week of this month, February 22-26 will be the submission of the remaining PeTa projects and also the time for oral exams.
We may be divided by digital screens right now, but let this not be a hindrance for us to be as one – ONE FAMILY, ONE SPIRIT! We continue to need your partnership to make this month a wonderful experience for the students!
High School
For the month of January, the High School students and their families have participated in different activities where the spiritual, moral and social development was emphasized. Your participation and support, my dear families, are highly appreciated.
Despite these trying times, the Music, Arts, P.E., and Health (MAPEH) and Computer Education departments have joined forces to spearhead the CJPS Virtual Intramurals 2021 in this month of February. This provides an opportunity for every student and family to take part in competitive and non-competitive recreational e-sports/games activities within the framework of educational endeavors.
With the theme: “Honing Millennial Skills in the Time of Pandemic.”, the “MAPEH and Computer Match Up” likewise aims to showcase the talents of students through various fun and exciting activities highlighting their artistic and technological skills. The same activities have been created to enhance the kids’ leadership and critical thinking abilities and teamwork. The following illustrates our line up of activities: BANNER CLIP, SOCIAL DIS- DANCING, E- GAMES, LIVE ART COMPETITION, YELL COMPETITION.
