Preschool 

This July, the Kindergarten students will celebrate Nutrition Month with the theme: “Healthy Diet Gawing Habit – FOR LIFE!”  This campaign focuses attention on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits. Also during this time, the children will learn to identify the basic food groups, more specifically the GLOW Food and know the importance of eating Go, Grow and Glow food. Various activities reinforcing the value of eating healthy food will be discussed in class throughout this month. At home, you can be role models by practicing healthy eating and active living.

Grade School

The opening of classes for the year has truly been amazing, with students excitedly meeting their classmates and teachers and familiarizing themselves with the school system in general. This is indeed a start of a fruitful journey filled with learning and memorable experiences.

As we begin the month of July, we look forward to the complete readiness of our students into the new academic year and get inspired with our planned activities.  

The following are the activities for the Month of July:

  1. 1. July is Nutrition Month. With the theme, ”Eat fruits and veggies plenty, keep the body wealthy.’’ various classroom activities will be conducted to reinforce the value of eating nutritious meals. Our aim is to help our students make healthier food choices by eating fruits and vegetables instead of junk food. As our partners, you can encourage your children at home by eating your prepared vegetable dishes and fruits.
  2. Parent – Teacher Conference. The first PTC is scheduled on July 28, 2018. We expect from you, dear parents, to meet and confer with your child’s adviser. Through this, you will get the chance to know how your child performs in school. Before the said schedule, expect to receive a more detailed letter from us, for your guidance.
  3. Launching of Scout Assembly. Scouting in CJPS begins in Grade 4. Our aim is to help our students develop their leadership potential and character, and appreciate the value of being responsible to the given tasks.  
  4. Launching of Clubs. This will also be conducted this month for Grade 4 students.  The goal of this co-curricular program is to give each student exposure to different areas of interest. Also, attending club meetings serves as a venue for each member to interact with other students and share common interests with them. The different School clubs that he/she could choose to join are as follows:
  5. A. Brain Games Club. Aims to develop our students’ mental abilities through different brain teasing games.
  6. B. I.Y. (Do It Yourself) Club. Aims to develop our students’ creativity in making different products through the use of different recycled materials.
  7. C. Dance Club. Aims to arouse interest and enhance the students’ talents both in folk and modern dancing.

Middle School

During the past two weeks since the opening of classes, your child has been oriented on the culture of CJPS and all the systems in place. It is therefore expected that he/she and all our students have gradually and completely transitioned into the new academic year; hence, their readiness for the activities lined up for the year. From this month forward, expect various school events that will have one common aim, that is, to nurture the totality of your child’s character.

The following are the activities for the Month of July:

1. July is Nutrition Month! With the theme, “Healthy Living: Key to Socio-Emotional and Spiritual Well-Being”, classroom-based and inter-section academic activities and contests will be conducted to enable our students to understand and appreciate the importance of healthful practices and healthy living.

2. Parent – Teacher Conference. The first PTC is scheduled on July 28, 2018, from 8:00am to 12:00nn. We expect for you, dear parents, to meet and confer with your child’s adviser. Through this, you will get the chance to know how your child performs in school. Before the said schedule, expect to receive a more detailed letter of invitation from us.

3. Sports Try-outs. Selection of varsity players for various sports events and initial training will be conducted. Through this, your child will get the chance to develop his/her confidence, athletic skills and sportsmanship, and eventually, be able to compete in inter-school level competitions.  

4. Launching of School Clubs. This extra-curricular program aims to give each student exposure to different interest areas. Also, attending club meetings serves as an opportunity for each member to interact with students and teachers from other levels and share common interests.  Your child will get to join one of the following School Clubs:

  • The Pen Power is the school organization that will produce potential journalists.
  • The Young Childeans for Christ will target the spiritual and moral development of its members through fun activities
  • The MS Glee will develop, not only the singing voice, but also the confidence of its members.
  • The Childean Movers will be an avenue for the bodily-kinesthetic intelligent students to develop their skills to the fullest.
  • The Artists’ Guild will hone its members’ spatial and creative abilities.
  • The Circle of Science Investigators will help its members sharpen their scientific method skills and be in touch with recent advances in the field.
  • The Book Lovers’ Club will explore the world through their love for reading.
  • Various Sports Clubs – will train the athletic skills of students. This club is further subdivided into Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis and Board Games Clubs.

5. Student Council Election. With our aim to develop our students’ leadership abilities and build a partnership between the school and community through service, we encourage every student to participate in the election process whether as a candidate or voter. After the election, the declaration of the new set of officers and their simple oath-taking ceremony will follow.

With the aforementioned events, we are looking forward to your active involvement in the life of your child, as he/she takes off to reach his/her goals for this school year.

High School

As your child has been oriented on the culture of CJPS and all the systems in place, so we expect him/her and all our students to completely transition into the new academic year and be ready for our lineup of activities.  From this month forward, please expect various School events that will have one common aim, that is, to nurture the totality of your child’s character.

The following are the activities for the Month of July:

1. July is Nutrition Month! With the theme, “Healthy Attitude:  The Key to Social, Emotional and Spiritual Beatitude”, classroom and intersection academic activities and contests will be conducted to enable our students to understand the importance of good health and healthy living. Aside from these, you are likewise encouraged to have Family Dinner Night/s as part of  the celebration.  During T. L. E. class, your child will be given a chance to share the health   benefits that he/she gets from the food and what makes this date special to him/her.

  2. Parent – Teacher Conference. The first PTC will be on July 28, 2018. We expect for you, dearparents, to meet and confer with your child’s adviser. Through this, you will get the chance to know how your teenager performs in school. Before the said schedule, expect to receive a separate letter from us, for your guidance.

  3. Launching of School Clubs. This co-curricular program aims to give each student exposure to different interest areas.  Also, attending club meetings serves as an opportunity for each member to interact with students and teachers from other levels and share common interests.  Your child will get to join one of the following School Clubs:

  •  Dance Troupe, whose primary objective is to improve the students’ God given talent in dancing.
  •  The Pen Power is the School org that will produce potential journalists.
  •  C.O.C. (Childean Oblates Club), which targets the spiritual and moral development of its members.
  •  The Serve-ivors’ Club is for the students who love to play or learn volleyball.
  •  The Sketchers’ Club will hone its members’ spatial and creative abilities.
  •  The Junior Rookies is an avenue for the basketball enthusiasts.
  •  Do It Yourself (DIY) aims to nurture the students’ imagination and creative abilities.
  •  Board Gamers’ Club (BGC) will help its members to have better memory and increase cognitive functions.
  • Life Bringers’ Society provides opportunities for the students of STEM to engage and develop into tomorrow’s leaders and active community member through scientific demonstrations designed to instill appreciation and excitement for the scientific process.
  • Junior Einsteins’ Guild – its primary purpose is to foster the interest and advance their knowledge on the different branches of mathematics and engineering.
  • BLINK (stands for Business Link) – This org gives the students the opportunity to integrate all the key concepts and processes of Accounting, Business and Management (ABM) as applied in real-life activities following the business cycle.
  • SocSci Hub – This course is designed to provide students the opportunity to integrate their learning in the different learning  areas of the Humanities and Social Sciences through a creative culminating  activity.

  4. Student Council Elections.  With the goals of developing and promoting leadership abilities, building a partnership between the school and community with service, and creating activities for campus pride and participation, we encourage every student to participate in the election process whether as a candidate or voter.
