PRESCHOOL

This month of November is another exciting month for our Senior Nursery students as they learn about our mysterious solar system. More specifically, they will identify the inner planets Earth, Mars , Venus and Mercury and their specific characteristics. To help them assimilate these concepts, the children will complete various activities to further develop their interest about the topic.

In December, the Preschool Department will focus on the theme of sharing, which will be highlighted with our annual Christmas Outreach on December 15, 2018 (Saturday).

The following are the activities for the months of November and December:

  1. Mid-Year Special Programs – to continue our pursuit in promoting an active lifestyle among the youth, we are also pleased to announce that we are offering again a variety of extra curricular activities to take these young gifted students to the next level. This is an exciting way to enhance their God-given skills, learn the importance of discipline, respect to others and get to meet other like-minded students. Enroll your child in any of the offering for an active and fun-filled lifestyle:

As we begin the second semester, we continue to provide our students with interesting and engaging activities to develop them into well-rounded individuals. More specifically, we will have the combined Mathematics and Science Activities in the months of November and December.  With the theme:  MATH-tira, Mahu-SCI 2K18: Promoting Excellence by Strengthening Creative and Innovative Minds: which aims to provide our students with challenging activities that will enhance their critical thinking skills both in Math and Science through the games they will play in various stations.

There will also be a seminar on November 17, 2018 for all Grade 2 Catholic students and their parents in preparation for the First Holy Communion of the students on November 29, 2018. An invited guest speaker will facilitate the discussion on the topics of: “Family, as the funnel of God’s Love, Role of Parents in Guiding their Child as He/She Receives His/Her First Communion and Spirituality, Values and Practices of the Family”.

Lastly, as we are near to the celebration of the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ, the school will once again launch its annual December Christmas Drive Campaign. Students from all levels are encouraged to bring specified goods indicated in the calendar below. All of the donations will then be given a week before Christmas to indigent families living in the community. Through this small gesture, we aim to instill in the hearts of our students to always go beyond themselves and express their generosity especially toward the less fortunate.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Last month, the Middle School students were able to appreciate the various cultures of the world in a different level of creativity. This was made possible through student-led exhibits and presentations.

Mathematics and Science will be the areas to be highlighted from November to December. The effort of the school to focus on the development of the socio-emotional and spiritual aspect of students this year continues through different classroom-based and home activities designed to meet our objectives for this period.

HIGH SCHOOL

For the previous month of October, the High School students were exposed to the cultural diversity of nations with emphasis on the importance of unity and cooperation among them. As such, the same message was instilled among the students through the activities spearheaded by the Araling Panlipunan department.

For November and December, the Mathematics and Science departments have joined forces to maximize the opportunities for the CJPS students to discover and enhance their analytical and critical abilities, and to showcase their creative problem solving skills through various MathSci projects. Our classroom-based activities for these months are the following: Math and Science Quiz Bees, Poem and Essay Writing Contest, and Comics and Poster Making Contest. These activities aim to provide an exciting avenue for students to develop their skills in the two distinct, yet interconnected disciplines. All these are inspired by the theme: “Strengthening Mathematics and Science Proficiencies: Fundamentals in the Pursuit of Holistic Development Among the 21st Century Learners.”
