Preschool
This month, we will once again have a “Grand Recycling Fiesta.” Through this program, the children will experience activities that will help them gain knowledge about recycling and caring for nature as well as the importance of a clean and green environment. Since children learn best through hands-on experiences, we would like you to help them classify items in the house that may be recycled. These recyclable items will be collected every Friday starting November 4 until December 2, 2016. Each item will have a corresponding value in the form of a Christmas ball, which will then be used to decorate a Christmas tree artwork per class.
Grade School
We have reached the second half of the school year and more exciting and interesting activities are lined up for our students. This month of November, we will have the combined Mathematics and Science Activity that is designed to evoke the pupils’ interest and love for the Mathematics and Science subjects. With the theme; “MATH-SCI CHALLENGE: VERSION 1.4” , children will be playing, interacting and learning all at the same time. There will be booths around the campus, which will surely surprise and challenge them as they perform each of the activities inside. In addition to the November Math –Sci challenge are the educational tour for Grades 3 and 4 and the annual Scouting Investiture for the Grade 4 level. There will also be a seminar for all Grade 2 Catholic pupils and their parents in preparation for the First Holy Communion of the students. An invited guest speaker will facilitate the discussion on the topics of: Family, as the funnel of God’s Love, Role of Parents in Guiding their Child as He/She Receives His/Her First Communion and Spirituality, Values and Practices of the Family.
And since Christmas is just around the corner, we are again opening the opportunity for our pupils to share their blessings and learn that the true value of living is in giving. Through our annual Christmas Drive project, we will once again share the donations of our students to our less fortunate brothers and sisters around the community. As what Winston Churchill said; “We make a living by what we get, but we make a LIFE by what we give”.
Middle School
Last month, we have once again inculcated in our students their appreciation of cultural diversity and strengthened their sense of unity through the activities spearheaded by the Araling Panlipunan department.
For this month and the next, the Mathematics and Science departments have combined their wits and effort to maximize the opportunities for the CJPS students to discover and enhance their analytical and problem solving abilities, through the most enjoyable and fun ways. The highlights of which are: The Ultimate Math-Sci Wizards Competition and The Math-Sci Olympics 2016. These aim to provide an exciting avenue for students to develop their skills in the two distinct, yet interconnected disciplines. Through teamwork and friendly competition, they will also be able to demonstrate their competence to analyze and solve real-life problems. All these are inspired by the theme: “Achieving a World of Symmetry and Victory Through One’s Logical and Analytical Abilities”.
