PRESCHOOL

GRADE SCHOOL

We would like to take this opportunity to send our thanks to all our students, parents, and our teachers for the successful conduct of our English month last September. With God’s unending grace, we were able to forge stronger connections with each other and utilize our skills and talents in the English language. We would also like to express our cheers to the winners of our English month activities, as well as all the participants for last month’s events, and we hope that your ignited spirits remain for the activities to come.

The month of October is full of various observances not only for the school but also the entire community. With the celebration of World Teacher’s Day (October 5) and the Feast of Sta. Ursula (October 21), the month of October is also known to all as the Rosary Month and the Araling Panlipunan Month, and we have several exciting events that are in store for all our students and parents at home.

For October, Childeans will be participating in the first Virtual Rosary 2020, and all our Catholic students are enjoined to come and participate in the daily prayer to express our love and devotion to Mama Mary. The grand culmination of this activity will take place on October 30, and further details regarding this will be relayed by our teachers.

Also, we would like to invite all parents to the weekly Family Bibliarasal, an activity similar to teachers’ gawarasal where participants study selected Scriptures, share insights and make relevant application of the Word to real life. This will be held every 6 pm starting October 9, to be facilitated by Mrs. Antonia Aprecio, CEO of CJPS.

Further, in celebration of AP Month, in line with our year-round theme, “we create school and home links, and bring faith, wisdom and love in sync,” we will be having various activities to recognize the importance of studying and discussing our history and society as we prepare our children for a brighter, God-centered future. Among these activities include the annual General Information Quiz Bee, News Presentation Activities, Little Newscaster Activity, Video Presentations, Poem Recitation, Family Poster Making Competition, and a whole lot more, the details of which will be specified below and discussed by our teachers in the coming days.

We would also like to remind everyone that the Assessment Week will take place this October, and students, with the help of their parents, are expected to prepare for the oral exams, performance tasks, quizzes, and other activities for this month. Again, we remain thankful for your unwavering cooperation and we hope for your continued eagerness for this month and the months to come.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

We have so far culminated the English month in which our students have been able to appreciate communication skills as a significant path for building strong relationships with God and other people and for being a responsible citizen of the country. Love for reading has also been empowered through our Family Reading Activity.

This month, Araling Panlipunan will be the area to be highlighted with the year-round theme “We create school and home links to bring faith, wisdom and love in sync”. We will have classroom-based and home activities designed to help students understand the relevance of the past with the present, develop in them a sense of patriotism, and realize the importance and benefits of respecting one’s spiritual beliefs.

Moreover, below is the breakdown of major activities for October:

  1. Family Bibliarasal – We would like to invite all parents to the weekly Family Bibliarasal, an activity similar to teachers’ gawarasal where participants study selected Scriptures, share insights and make relevant application of the Word to real life. This will be held every 6 pm starting October 9, to be facilitated by Mrs. Antonia Aprecio, CEO of CJPS.
  1. Virtual Rosary 2020 October is also regarded as the month of devotion to the Holy Rosary. Catholic students are expected to participate in the daily prayer as we show our love for Mama Mary. The virtual Rosary activity on October 30 is another highlight for this month.
  1. Family Scavenger Hunt – The idea of a scavenger hunt is to find all the items on a list and return them to a designated place as quickly as possible. For this month, this will be our featured family activity wherein a little tweaking on the usual procedure will be done and the topic will be connected to foreign influences on Filipino culture.

HIGH SCHOOL

Promoting unity, solidarity and world peace is the main reason why everyone should celebrate the United Nations Month.

This year, our school will once again be one with the world in celebrating it with the theme We create school and home links to bring faith, wisdom and love in sync.”  CJPS believes that the strong relationship between the school and home, and its commitment is necessary to achieve the UN celebration goals. The AP Department highly focuses on our students’ awareness of various social, national and global issues and their impact on the lives of students and their families.   In line with this, our activities for this month include the following:

All these classZoom-based activities will be gearing towards the said theme.

October is also the month of devotion to the Holy Rosary. Catholic students are expected to participate in the daily prayer as we show our love for Mama Mary. The annual Living Rosary activity will culminate all the events for this month.

Likewise, CJPS is launching its new activity for families, which is called, “Family Bibliarasal”, where we could hear and reflect on the Word of God.  All CJPS families are invited to join every Friday starting October 9, 2020 at 6:00pm.  Just click this link to join:  https://zoom.us/j/99042744229?pwd=Qm9aU3FSZkJOdUVVNFJCd0h1bVpzUT09 with Meeting ID: 990 4274 4229 and Passcode: 819682.
