Preschool Grandparents’ Celebration

As September is once again upon us, we cannot help but count the days ‘til Christmas!  However, September also means that we are inching a little closer to another special occasion definitely worth celebrating … and that is, Grandparents’ Day!  As you know, Grandparents are important to children in so many ways. They have patience and time when parents are often busy. They have stories to tell and interesting games to play. These are some of the reasons why, the Preschool Department of Child Jesus of Prague School annually celebrates and acknowledges the role of grandparents and the special relationship they share with their grandchildren.

This year, we will have our Grandparents’ Day on September 22 and 23. Dubbed as Grandparents Go Back to Preschool, this special day aims:

• To honor grandparents
• To give grandparents an opportunity to show love for their children’s children
• To help children become aware of the strength, information and guidance grandparents can offer.

Also, throughout this month, children will be encouraged to think about the value of their Lolos and Lolas in their life, encourage them to say ‘thank you’ and spend time with their grandparents on Grandparents Day. Please note that a separate letter will be given with the details of our Grandparents’ Day celebration.
