SEPTEMBER BULLETS
PRESCHOOL
All activities set for August have been very successful for the Preschool Department, especially because we were able to spend a day as one big family during the culminating event. Our preschoolers will remember that once, during their preschool days, they had a very remarkable event with their family,
This September the Junior Nursery students will be able to name and identify community helpers. They will be able to discuss the importance and roles of our friends in the community. The kids will also get to make several crafts in order to make learning more meaningful for them
Also, the month of September is dedicated to our dear Grandparents. Throughout this month, we will honor the important role they play in their grandchildren’s lives. Kids will learn songs and poems about Grandparents and make various crafts for them. As we likewise give emphasis on the development of the communication skills of the students, classroom activities where students would get the chance to speak in front of their classmates will be conducted. One classroom oral activity is dubbed as “Presenting… My Grandparents!” Through this, each pupil will be given the opportunity to introduce and talk about his/her grandparents in class. Please be reminded of the following:
- Your child will be given a schedule as to when he/she will present to the class. Please inspect his/her diary every day for the schedule.
- On the day of the oral presentation, have your child bring ¼ illustration board where pictures of his/her grandparents are pasted.
- To assist and prepare your child for his/her short speech.
- Begin with a greeting, then with the phrase: “Presenting…My Grandparents!”
- Introduce the grandparents as shown in the photos and describe them.
- Describe some of the activities or moments which the child and his/her grandparents do or spend together.
- Conclude by mentioning what the child likes about or learns from his/her grandparents.
Furthermore, the Preschool Department will also have a simple program in honor of our beloved grandparents on September 28, 2019. Details about this will be communicated through a separate letter.
GRADE SCHOOL
As for the beginning of the Second Quarter of this school year, please be reminded of the 1st Parenting Seminar on September 7, 2019 at the Calumpang Campus from 9:30 am to 12:00 nn, to be followed by the distribution of the First Quarter Report Cards. We would like to thank you in advance dear parents for your presence in the said activities.
For this month of September, the Grade School Department’s celebration of the English Month will emphasize the importance of being proficient and confident in speaking, reading, and writing in English through the various activities that your child will be exposed to. They will be able to experience and enjoy the classroom-based activities prepared by their teachers like Textwist, Dicto, Word Maze, Angry Verbs, Spelling Quiz Bee, Declamation, Oration, Essay Writing, Story Telling, and English Only Policy. Different topics and English literary pieces will let our students realize the importance of valuing and loving oneself, others, country and God; that still focus on the school theme: “When God is our root, Love is our Fruit.” We will also have again, the Book Fair that brings much anticipation and excitement to our students which have been observed from the previous years. This is an indication that they value and enjoy reading books, widening their vocabulary and developing their comprehension.
MIDDLE SCHOOL
Being able to competently communicate is one of the fundamental indicators of academic success. This has been one of the objectives last August in which MS students were able to use the Filipino language to create poems, to tell stories and to write articles.
This month, with the theme “When God is Our Root, Love is Our Fruit” the School will once again gear towards socio-emotional and spiritual development of our students with the English language as the main vehicle.
The MS English Month activities include the following: Spelling Quiz Bee, Reader’s Theatre, Speech Choir, Feature Writing, Persuasive Speaking and Book Fair. These activities do not only intend to provide distinct opportunities for our students to sharpen their reading, writing, speaking, and vocabulary skills; but also, to acknowledge that being confident and competent in the language could help them achieve life-long learning for a more productive and responsible citizenship.
Also, kindly take note of the Issuance of the First Quarter Report Cards on September 7, 2019 at Calumpang Campus. This will be right after the first Parenting Seminar. Your participation in the said event will give your child’s section points which will be included in the computation of the Best Class Award for the Second Quarter. Your child’s adviser will start to accommodate you and release your child’s report card right after the said seminar.
HIGH SCHOOL
Being able to competently communicate is one of the fundamental indicators of academic success. Child Jesus of Prague School has been consistently gearing towards this facet of student excellence through continuous English proficiency programs across all subject areas.
This September, celebrated as the English month, the school will once again feature English as the universal language. This will be emphasized through various activities which include English Quiz Bee, Radio Drama Contest, Modern Digest Competition, One-Act Sweet Play Contest, among others. The English Month aims to provide distinct opportunities for the students to sharpen their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills and at the same time to realize that enriching one’s language capabilities can also be fun!
On a different note, please be reminded of the 1st Parenting Seminar scheduled on September 7, 2019 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Calumpang Campus. Distribution of the First Quarter Report Cards will immediately follow, until 2:00pm only. Please be advised that the given schedule will strictly be implemented and we expect your compliance on this matter.
Also, we would like to inform you of the scheduled visit of the Black Nazarene of Quiapo to CJPS Batingan Campus on September 16, 2019 from 7:00am to 9:00am. There will be a celebration of the Holy Mass at 7:00am and “Pahalik” afterwards. You, dear parents, are cordially invited to this event.
