September Newsletter (Grade School)

Posted on: Sep 1, 2023

Dear Grade School Parents,

Greetings of peace!

For this month of September, which is the celebration of English month, we have prepared classroom-based activities which are filled with fun, enjoyment, and learning. As we emphasize the importance of being proficient and confident in speaking, reading, writing, and performing in English, we have come up with the theme: “Transcending Boundaries: Reconnecting and Reliving with English through Collaboration and Appreciation”. This aims to:

  • Reconnect the bond among Childeans through various English activities;
  • Develop collaboration among the students who will participate in the different contests;
  • Have quality time with their families by reliving and appreciating literary pieces; and,
  • Transcend boundaries through reading, writing, and performing.

They will be able to experience and enjoy the classroom-based activities prepared by their teachers like Show Me Board Acronym, Textwist, Pictionary, Hand Me A Book-The Readers will Delight, A Day in the School Library, Poem Recitation, News Reading, Reader’s Theater, On the Spot English Speaking Contest, Word Wizardry Quiz Bee, and English Only Policy. Different topics and English literary pieces will let our students realize the importance of valuing, appreciating, and loving oneself, others, country, and God.

Please take note of the important activities for the month of September:

1. Educational Tour – The schedule of Grade 1 and 2 pupils will be on September 21, 2023, while the Grade 3 and 4 will be on September 22, 2023. These activities will provide our grade- schoolers with an opportunity to have a positive educational experience that will enhance their learning initiatives, personal development, and deepen their social and historical knowledge in an informal environment. Kindly return the Reply Slip on or before September 8, 2023.

2. Parent–Teacher Conference – The first PTC is scheduled on September 30, 2023. We expect from you, dear parents, to meet and confer with your child’s adviser. Through this, you will get the chance to know how your child performs in school. Before the said schedule, expect to receive a more detailed letter from us, for your guidance.

Thank you very much for your continued support and cooperation.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Julieta T. Alipio

Principal, GS Dept.
