January-February Updates

PRESCHOOL

Your children are starting 2019 with much eagerness as they tackle the amazing world of animals!  More specifically, the Kindergarten students are learning about sea animals, their common characteristics and needs. They will discover how sea animals move and how we should take care of them in their habitat. Through both planned and spontaneous experiences, we will provide opportunities for the students to discover many things about sea animals throughout the month of January.

January is also the month when the CJPS community celebrates the Feast of Sto. Niño.  This will be highlighted with a Holy Mass on January 18, 2019 at the CJPS Calumpang Campus.  Details about this event will be communicated in the following days.

Finally, we wish to express our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support over the Preschool-initiated projects namely, the Christmas Bazaar for a Cause, Light a Tree Project and Annual Christmas Outreach. Because of your active participation in these endeavors and your generous support,  we, as a family and a community, were able to make the Christmases of 100 children and their respective families from the Municipality of Binangonan a little brighter and merrier this holiday season.  Additionally, we are happy to announce that part of your donation was also used to support the CJPS Annual Gift Giving, which enabled us to give grocery bags to 1000 families in Binangonan.

Again, we would like to thank you, our dear parents, for continually supporting all our programs and activities.  We sincerely appreciate the trust and understanding you have given us throughout the year and we look forward to creating a stronger relationship with you in 2019!

GRADE SCHOOL

As we start the New Year, the CLED and Values Education Department will be emphasizing among our pupils the importance of sharing and appreciating blessings received from God as we celebrate the Feast of Sto. Niño. When we look at the image of the Infant Jesus and contemplate God’s love that emanates from the face of the child, we also peer into our own helplessness and dependence on the benevolent Father. The Sto. Niño feast is an occasion for Filipino Catholics to gather as one community. Wherever the feast is celebrated, the message is the same – live with childlike appreciation for life’s blessings, simply and humbly. Jesus said: “Whoever does not accept the kingdom like a child will not enter it; whoever humbles himself like a child is greatest in the kingdom of heaven; whoever receives one child in My name receives Me.”

Among other things, we will expose our pupils to various activities that aim to strengthen the children's desire to be like Jesus Christ in their own little ways which will start in their own home. They will take the lead in doing usual Christian activities like, praying, going to church and telling bible stories as part of their daily life. We believe that the family is God’s little church, thus, these activities also target in reinforcing the bonding relationship within the family.

Through our children, may we be reminded to have that childlike obedience and trust in the Father, but let us always have that “adult” compassion for those in need.

In the same spirit of compassion and generosity, we would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your unending support and generosity to our Christmas Drive last December 2018. Your contributions reached many of our less fortunate brothers and sisters in the community.

Lastly, we look forward to your presence in our 3rd Parenting Seminar and Report Card distribution on January 26, 2019.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

We have so far culminated a number of major activities for 2018 and we would like to thank you for actively taking part, especially in the Annual Christmas Gift-Giving drive. Your generosity and sense of charity have reached and touched many lives.

At this juncture, we continue our journey through the academic year, with your child’s holistic progress as our primary goal. All year round, values formation is integrated in the daily lessons, across all disciplines. This month, the School, through the Christian Life and Values Education department, will provide diverse and specific activities that will focus on the development of our students’ ability to establish and sustain meaningful relationship with God and others. These activities will be classroom-based. Students will also be given an opportunity to reach out to other kids in the community as we conduct the MS #SKL 2019 Project:School Tour. Preparation for the said event will start this January. Our students will have their own means to be able to share love to the beneficiaries of this project in February.

Some of the major activities for the month of January are as follows:

  1. Our School community will celebrate the Feast of Sto. Niño on January 18, 2019. A Thanksgiving Mass will be held at Calumpang campus.
  2. The next Parenting Seminar will be on January 26, 2019 from 9:30am to 12:00nn. After this, issuance of third quarter report cards will immediately follow, until 2:00pm only.
  3. The School Intramurals is set on January 30  – February 1st, 2019.

HIGH SCHOOL

We would like to thank you once again for supporting our Christmas Drive, which became a blessing to more than 1000 families in Binangonan. May God continue to bless your generosity and kindness.

As the New Year starts, Child Jesus of Prague School will give emphasis on your child’s spiritual, moral and social development.  The School, through the Christian Life and Values Education Subjects, will provide classroom-based activities that will promote awareness of the theme, “Youth in Mission: Called to Grow in Spiritual & Emotional Maturity to Strengthen the Family”.  Students will get the chance to learn more deeply about our Christian faith and likewise be exposed to exercises wherein they can showcase their communication and artistic skills.

Also happening this month is the 3rd Parenting Seminar scheduled on January 26, 2019 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Calumpang Campus. Distribution of the Third Quarter Report Cards will immediately follow the seminar and will end at 2:00 pm.
